Adding new life into a charity that helps those behind the scenes of Film and Television.
Film & TV Charity
The Film & TV Charity came to us wanting to focus on what was most important to them, the people behind the scenes of their industry. They wanted an identity that reflected this, and in-turn made them more accessible.
Solution
To create a brand that those behind the camera felt reflected them. An identity based on ideas and concepts familiar to them, so people felt at ease to engage and talk about their struggles.
Brand identity / Brand roll out / Icon design / Motion design / Editorial / Social / TOV / Campaign / Reports
The idea for the identity came from the people that we were focusing on. I found from research that tape is heavily used throughout production. From markers for placing objects, to being used as makeshift labels to organise equipment. This felt like the perfect idea for an identity, something raw, often unseen and easily recognisable to the people that matter.
When commissioning the photography, it was paramount that the images felt real and focus on the struggles that people behind the camera were facing. We wanted the audience to relate to the charity’s cause and imagery would play a pivotal role in this.
When focusing on the icon design for the charity, we wanted the style to be easily replicated by the charity’s in-house team, but also playful enough that they could have fun experimenting with new ways of visually talking about their key areas within their business.
